Bianka -
Leadership Consultant, Dramatherapist, Trainer, and Thought Partner
Hello!
I'm Bianka, a Leadership Consultant, Dramatherapist, Trainer, and Thought Partner.
I hold a first-class Master's in Dramatherapy, a PG Cert in Psychodynamic & Systemic Leadership Consultancy, and am a trained Four Seasons Behavioural Profiling Practitioner.
With over 15 years of experience, I bring passion and dedication to my practice, using humor and creativity to quickly get to the core of the issue.
My approach is warm, empathetic, and mission-driven, ensuring that every leader I work with feels supported and inspired.
How it all started
Just before Christmas 2021, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.
It was a hormone-receptive type, requiring medication that induced menopause. Life, her sense of self and interactions changed practically over night.
Navigating her life as a mother, partner, and professional leader in the NHS without the option of HRT, she faced physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges.
Witnessing her journey highlighted the lack of practical support for professional leaders going through menopause, inspiring me to develop my approach.
Today I help leaders like her increase professional resilience, manage symptoms, understand their leadership styles, and adapt authentically to overcome feelings of shame, inadequacy, self-doubt, and uncertainty.
Publications
📖 Taboo – Stories That Can’t Be Told
I’m incredibly proud to have contributed to the Literary Titan award-winning anthology Taboo – Stories That Can’t Be Told.
This raw, unapologetic collection confronts the subjects society often silences—grief, identity, trauma, womanhood, and survival. Each story cracks open the hush around lived experiences too frequently deemed unspeakable. The result is a powerful, deeply human tapestry of voices that offer solidarity, healing, and hope.
My piece, Howling at the Moon, explores menopause through the lens of personal transformation, caregiving, and queerness. Writing it was both cathartic and fiercely empowering. It means the world to have received this special mention in the Literary Titan review:
“Bianka Kuhn-Thompson’s essay on menopause, Howling at the Moon, deserves special mention. This chapter educates and empowers, reframing menopause as an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Her narrative is laced with humor and tenderness as she recounts her wife’s battle with cancer and its unexpected journey through induced menopause. The vulnerability in her storytelling left me feeling connected to the text, and her practical tips on reframing discomfort into empowerment were refreshing.”
